and ol’ A-Rod…oh he’s booed (AP/MSNBC)

New York Yankees starter got a bit roughed up by the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, lasting only four innings and gave up six runs on eight hits, four of which were doubles.

But as all things seems to be with the Yankees, the spotlight shades a bit to third base where Alex Rodriguez again became the center of attention for Yankee faithful.

With two runners on base in the seventh, the $250 million man stepped up to the plate against tricky Orioles relief specialist Chad Bradford.  In what seems to be a sustaining trend with Rodriguez, he waved his bat at strike three and failed again in a key opportunity.

The result? Cascading boos rained down on the slugger as he walked off to the dugout.

His time in New York is ticking
