Just gimme the damn microphone — Keyshawn to broadcasting career?

Johnson turns down Titans, expected to retire (AP/ESPN)

Keyshawn Johnson will put his chronic vociferous nature to use: he’s getting into broadcasting.

Johnson, who was released just after the NFL Draft after the Carolina Panthers selected Dwayne Jarrett, will announce his retirement on Wednesday at USC.

He worked the NFL Draft as an analyst for ESPN and even provided commentary on his former team picking a wideout, suggesting he’d tutor the player during his rookie year. Johnson got cut instead.

His deal with ESPN calls for the former All-Pro to team up with Chris Mortensen and former coach Bill Parcells, his former coach, for a radio show on Friday evenings.

Friday Night Lights, ESPN-style.
