Alex Rodriguez, the New York Yankees third baseman, has smacked his 500th home run off of the Kansas City Royals’ Kyle Davies.

The home run gave the Yankees a 3-0 jump on the visiting Royals and the score is currently 4-0 in the home half of the second.
