Tigers 2, Yanks 5 — Roger Clemens won in his return from a suspension and Bobby Abreu hit a go-ahead homer that clanked off the foul pole, carrying the New York Yankees to a 5-2 win over visiting Detroit.

Angels 5, Red Sox 10 — David Ortiz helped the Red Sox rally from a five-run deficit by sparking a six-run fifth inning with a grand slam and Curt Schilling pitched six innings, allowing five runs on eight hits in Boston’s come-from-behind win over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim that plays their games in Southern California somewhere in Orange County.

Rangers 5, Twins 0 — Marlon Byrd homered and drove in four runs, sending Kameron Loe and the Texas Rangers past the Minnesota Twins 5-0.

Indians 8, D’Rays 1 — Jake Westbrook gave up one run over seven innings, Asdrubal Cabrera hit his first major league homer and the Cleveland Indians beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 8-1.
