David Boston celebrates making the Bucs by performing stupid human tricks

Video of David Boston during DUI arrest (TBO.com)

Last week, we alerted our five readers that David Boston, the wide receiver who is trying to come back from numerous injuries to jump-start his NFL career, made the opening day roster of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The only reason we brought it up had to do with Boston “celebrating” a bit too much in Celebration, Florida.

According to a police report, Boston, 29, was found passed out behind the wheel of his red Range Rover at the intersection of 49th Street and Park Boulevard in Pinellas Park on Thursday night.  Pinellas Park police say the car was still running, and it was in drive.

Thanks to the fine folks at the The Big Lead, they’ve found video of the allegedly impaired Boston’s traffic stop via TBO.com.

The morning after, 8.27.07: MLB scoreboard

27 08 2007

The morning after the NL Central became a whole lot more interesting…

The Red Sox outscored the White Sox 46-7 in their weekend series in Chicago; the Diamondbacks improved to a major-league best 29-16 in one-run games; the Indians kept a grip on the AL Central lead; Curtis Granderson inches his way closer to a 20-20-20 season and the Milwaukee Brewers find themselves at .500 (65-65) for the first time since April 10.

Yankees 4, Tigers 5 — The Tigers used three early homers — including an inside-the-park job by Curtis Granderson — and three late defensive gems to beat the Yankees 5-4, and can win their first series since mid-July with a victory in the series finale Monday.

Twins 11, O’s 3 — Minnesota’s Jason Bartlett hit two triples and had two RBIs Sunday in an 11-3 triumph over Baltimore.  The Twins’ win snapped the nine-game winning streak of O’s pitcher Erik Bedard.

Red Sox 11, White Sox 1 –  David Ortiz, Bobby Kielty and J.D. Drew all went deep for the Red Sox in their 11-1 mashing of the White Sox.

Indians 5, Royals 3 — Cleveland’s Travis Hafner’s two-out single in the 11th plated Franklin Gutierrez, giving the Indians all the runs they’d need to top the Royals and maintain control of the AL Central.

BlueJays 1, Angels 3 –  Kelvim Escobar recorded his career-high 15th victory, Garret Anderson homered and the Angels beat the Blue Jays 3-1 to earn a split of the four-game series between the two squads.
