Michael Vick pleaded guilty Monday to a federal dogfighting charge and a judge set a sentencing date of Dec. 10 that could send the fallen NFL superstar to prison.
His attorney, Billy Martin, announced shortly after the hearing on the courthouse steps that the suspended NFL quarterback will hold a press conference at 11:30 a.m. ET in Richmond at the Omni Hotel.
Vick entered his guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson. He asked Vick whether he knew what evidence the government had against him and whether he had gone over the facts of the case with his legal team.
Vick responded to question by agreeing with the judge.
