“Lidocaine and B-12,” Clemens responded. “It’s for my joints, and B-12 I still take today.”
Rrrrrrrrrrrrright. We hope that McNamee goes through some lawsuits like his lawyer is claiming.
The Colorado Avalanche suffered a blow to their everyday line-up when an MRI revealed that star wing Ryan Smyth had a fracture in his ankle, an injury that will sideline him up to eight weeks.
“The fracture was discovered following additional medical tests which included an MRI exam,” Avalanche head trainer Matthew Sokolowski said Thursday in a release. “We expect him to make a full recovery.”
Smyth injured the ankle during an overtime shootout on New Year’s Eve against the Phoenix Coyotes.
According to Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the St. Louis Cardinals have signed righthanded starting pitcher Matt Clement.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but according to Miklasz, Clement wanted a major league deal and of all the potential suitors, St. Louis was willing to give him those terms.
Clement has been given a clean bill of health and is apparently ready to go in spring training.
